Photojournalism

Every click of the camera shutter means more than a picture to me. It means an opportunity to encapsulate the essence of a story. With my camera and my passion for storytelling, I venture into the heart of events, seeking out the moments that would resonate with my audience and convey the depth of human experience.

With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence, I plan my photojournalism work, considering factors such as exposure, composition, and color balance. Every frame is crafted with care, aiming not just to document events but to evoke emotion and spark curiosity.

In the pursuit of unique storytelling moments, I find myself immersed in my community. Through my lens of camera, I seek to capture the nuances of human interaction, the fleeting expressions of joy, sorrow and everything in between.

Accompanying these photographs are captions providing essential facts while offering additional context. These captions serve as bridges between the visual and the verbal, enriching the viewer's understanding and inviting them to delve deeper into the story behind the image.

Here are several multimedia pieces I worked on for my school newspaper, The Pitch

The following photo gallery includes photos I took of urban wildlife in the Walter Johnson HS area. I included a variety of animals in my photos to demonstrate the diversity of local wildlife residents encounter. From feathered fliers to furry neighbors, each photograph offers a glimpse into the numerous species that call this area home.

The next photo gallery captured our school’s International Week, which was filled with food, activities, and exhibitions of students’ cultures. Each day of the week had a different theme (food, visual arts, language, etc.). Through my photos, I aimed to highlight the diversity of our student body.
